This position is contingent on the availability of specific Title I funding and may be subject to non-renewal following the 2024-2025 school year based on the unavailability or uncertainty of Title I funding.

Purpose: This position is supported by Title I, Part A funds, which are intended to provide students with opportunities to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic standards. The candidate will enhance existing educational services by supplementing the instructional program with the goal of increasing student achievement in alignment with the school's comprehensive needs assessment. Academic Interventionists work extensively with students to help them improve specific skills and strategies.

Responsibilities

1.Intervention and Progress Monitoring: promotes alignment of existing student interventions provided by multiple

staff (e.g., Title I, ELL, Reading Corp, Tutors, Special Education, Classroom Teacher) to ensure consistent

expectations and progress monitoring.

Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 50%

Examples of this work include:

  • Supports and provides interventions for students.

  • Helps PLC teams use common assessment data to monitor progress for students receiving interventions.

  • Provides training and coaching support for teachers administering interventions.

  • Analyzes and interprets grade-level data trends to design, implement, and assess impact of interventions.

  • Provides parent outreach to assist parents with strategies they can use to support their child. (e.g.student-led conferences, parent training, etc.)

2.Instructional Coach: Provide feedback and support for literacy, math and classroom behavior management,

including Catalyst (Envoy) strategies.

Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 45%

Examples of this work include:

  • Mentors new teacher(s) in accordance with the FPS New Teacher Induction Program.

  • Provides support to teachers through co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, observing, and providingfeedback on core instruction and interventions.

  • Facilitates standards-based planning with PLC teams.

  • Collaborates with teachers to set standards-based goals for student learning.

  • Supports teachers in creation and use of formative assessments.

  • Supports teachers with pacing guides and using common formative assessments to identify and addresslearning gaps and monitor student progress.

  • Collaborates with teachers to implement the most appropriate strategies to meet the learning needs ofall students.

3.General Support: other duties as assigned.

Priority: Secondary Percent of Time: 5%

Examples of this work include:

  • Contributes to the implementation of special projects when assigned.

  • Provides general student supervision as needed. This includes but is not limited to locations indoors andoutdoors, such as the lunchroom, bus stops, playground, classroom, field trips, public transportation,assemblies, and kitchen.

  • Participates in general staff meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in elementary education.

  • Valid North Dakota Teaching License.

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful elementary teaching experience.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of schools, teachers, and classrooms.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Basic proficiency with instructional technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret and analyze data.

  • Experience with Envoy behavior management strategies.

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and individuals.

  • Intermediate proficiency with instructional technology.

  • Experience in using assessment results to guide instruction.

  • Knowledge of research and best practices in instructional design and differentiating instruction.
