Position Summary

Manage the Tisch Creative Research (TCR) departmental daily operations including administration of departmental budget and control of expenses. Provide grants management for outgoing and incoming awards.

Serve as design and web manager for the department. Provide administrative and operational support with accomplishing academic, artistic and programmatic goals. Manage special event logistics. Supervise student workers and vendors.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:2+ years in academic administration or a related area. Must include experience assisting a senior executive, managing office operations, budgets, and people.Preferred Experience:3+ years academic and/or arts environments

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students.

Proven ability to direct and implement a variety of operations and activities, to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem solving and negotiating skills. Knowledge of standard office and media software.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Familiarity with local, regional, national, international arts community and organizations and resources. Has worked with or impacted IDBEA efforts or strategies. Experience in creating website or building branding profiles.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $95,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Healing made personal.</p><p>Under the direction of the Executive Director/Associate Dean for Enterprise Cancer Clinical Research, the Director for Cancer Research Conduct and Data Management, provides leadership and oversight to the cancer clinical research conduct and data management unit. The unit facilitates the implementation, coordination, internal data compliance, and completion of approximately 250 oncology-focused trials. These include TCI institutional (i.e., investigator-initiated), multi-center cooperative group/National Clinical Trial Network (NCTN), consortium, and industry-sponsored trials.</p><p>The Director builds and oversees a team of highly skilled research staff to assure compliance with regulatory agencies; increase enrollment on clinical trials; ensure data integrity and protocol adherence. This person utilizes a solution-oriented and collaborative management style to improve efficiencies in clinical research management and operations.</p><p>S/he collaborates with the Medical Director(s), TCI Faculty Leadership, and other senior faculty members in the strategic and operational planning for optimal clinical research conduct and data management.</p><p>Roles &amp; Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Provides continuous oversight and leadership to ensure robust high quality compliant clinical trial conduct and good clinical practice</p></li><li><p>Responsible for providing operational efficiency and exemplary customer service to key stakeholders including investigators, patients, physicians, ancillary departments, and external strategic and industry partners.</p></li><li><p>Implements standards, best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest quality management of research, protections of human subjects, and data integrity.</p></li><li><p>Provides consistent and transparent communication across functional areas; fosters inter/intra-departmental collaboration.</p></li><li><p>Produce annual progress reports for NCI Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) in collaboration with the TCI Senior Leadership and Executive Director.</p></li><li><p>Helps to expand upon the existing foundation to support cancer-related human subject research with the goal of obtaining NCI Cancer Comprehensive Center (CCC) status by working with the TCI Director, Deputy Director, Associate Directors of Clinical and Translational Research, Population Science, TCI Administration and the leadership from: Biostatistics, Bio-repository, Vaccine Core and Immunotherapy, Personalized Medicine, Genomics, Pathology and Cancer Prevention and Control.</p></li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)</p></li><li><p>Ten (10) years of experience at an academic medical center, hospital, or equivalent healthcare, academic or research setting.</p></li><li><p>Seven (7) year direct clinical research experience with five (5) years in oncology research experience.</p></li><li><p>Five (5) years of direct supervisory and/or management experience including successful implementation of tactical plans, formulating policy, developing, and leading effective-high-performing teams, managing resources, and creative problem-solving</p></li></ul><p>Strength Through Diversity</p><p>The Mount Sinai Health System believes that diversity, equity and inclusion are drivers for excellence. The salary range for the role is $140,000.00 - $230,584.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
