We are hiring for a full-time, temporary to hire position in our Salem, Oregon location.

What will you do as a Retread Specialist & Tire Painter?

Full training will be provided.

There are multiple processes involved in the process, to include:

• Place tire on expanding rim
• Place tire on expanding rim
• Choose setting on builder for tire to be built
• Place tread on builder and feed forward on rollers before applied
• Run build cycle
• Staple ends of tread together
• Stitch tread down
• Choose setting on builder for tire to be built
• Place tread on builder and feed forward on rollers before applied
• Run build cycle
• Staple ends of tread together
• Stitch tread down
• Roll tire on x-ray platform
• Aim probe (camera) at damaged area
• Take picture
• Examine image and determine tire condition
• Repeat process with all suspicious injuries and non MRT patches
• Remove all rust, dirt and loose rubber using hand held pneumatic tools
• Responsible for operating tire retreading and painting machinery.
• Identify tires by tag.
• Sort tires as directed by type, brand, style, and various other factors.
• Stack tires. Must be able to lift to 90-lbs.
• Maintain our rigorous safety standards in line with lifting, bending, and standing.

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, temporary period of one hundred days (100).

After the temporary period, continuation options could include full-time, temporary, and permanent opportunities.

When/Where will you work?

We are located inside the Fairview Industrial Park @ 4230 27th Court SE, Salem, Oregon 97302. Shifts: 4:00am-12:30pm and 12:30pm-9:00pm. All shifts run Monday - Friday.

How much will you earn?

All roles begin at $18.00 per hour the first one hundred (100) days. Benefits and pay adjustments could be offered after a successful completion of the 100 Day temporary period and a permanent position is confirmed.

Requirements?

Ability to lift 50-lbs, strong physical dexterity, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, ability to operate hand, power, and air compression/hydraulic tools, successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Certifications?

None required.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment?

Employees are regularly required to lift 50-lbs, stand, walk, use of both hands, arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required. Employees are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, vibrations, working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles, possible exposure risk to electrical shock, elevated noise and sounds within the working environment.
