About the role

$ SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE $

Position: Tipping Floor Supervisor

Reports to: Fuel Superintendent

Position Description:

We seek a dedicated individual who will supervise the Municipal Solid Waste Tipping Floor Operations and it's team. Responsible for safe and environmentally compliant Tipping Floor Operation while maximizing MSW truck flow efficiencies and truck wait times.

Qualified individuals should be able to read and understand all company safety policies and procedures, including Lock-Out Tag-Out, Confined Space, Hot work, etc., as well as process diagrams and blueprint drawings, technical manuals, and written and verbal instructions and procedures.

Must be able to effectively communicate and motivate several direct reports, utilize maintenance software to write service requests, communicate effectively with vendors, and develop and implement various procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Reviews daily production goals, Fuel Side conditions, operating schedules, etc.

• Understand Accident/ Incident investigation reporting responsibilities

• Understand the Emergency Action Plan as it pertains to the Tipping Floor

• Understand safe operating procedures that are associated with the Tipping Floor

• Massachusetts Waste Ban Compliance responsibilities

• Collaborates with Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor and Fuel Superintendent concerning plant conditions and plan of the day

• Familiar with Spill Reporting Procedures and Hot Load Procedure

• Coordinate with Vehicle Maintenance Loader Inspection Program and Tire Program

• Familiar with Tipping Floor Inventory and Management

• Working Knowledge of Tipping Floor Fire Systems and Fire Fighting equipment

• Operates computer to access Maintenance Management program for equipment history and work order review, both corrective and preventive

• Perform Operator training

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

• Five (5) years' experience in hands-on and /or supervision of tipping floor activities, traffic control and mobile equipment maintenance

• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Shift:

• Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Off shift support may be required to support plant operations

Physical Demand of the Role:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
