Tims Data Manager

REPORTS TO: TIMS Coordinator and Assistant Director

JOB GOAL: To support the goals and high standards of Transportation Services by providing the safest and most efficient school bus routes possible.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Computer experience in Microsoft Office and Windows. Good public relation skills. Ability to resolve problem situations in high demand situations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Entry

• Entering TIMS Update forms daily.

• Draw in new subdivisions and roads on the TIMS system, using county GIS and 911 mapping.

• Process DEC-18 forms daily and follow through with special equipment needs.

Planning

• Create all bus stops, runs, and routes using student data from SIMS.

• Assist schools in preparing for kindergarten registration by providing boundary street listings and transportation forms.

• Assist schools and coordinators in preparing for fall transportation planning.

• Complete required training for TIMS.

Reporting

• Prepare TIMS data reports for TIMS Coordinator and Director as needed.

• Assist Central Services with school boundary issues by providing maps and student listings.

• Compile TIMS bus route information and send to coordinator and schools.

• Complete student location and promotion reports for schools and Central Services.

• Provide Central Services with an out of district student report.

Customer Services

• Assist schools and parents with student assignment information.

• Assist the public with identifying student assignment, school locations, and bus route information.

• Assist and correspond with Area Coordinators and schools with updates and route changes.

• Assist bus drivers with problems on routes as they call in for assistance.

• Monitor telephones and two way bus radios.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions needed to fulfill required job duties.

Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, bus drivers, and customers.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Required to work a staggered work schedule as needed.
