As part of Timberland's Sales Team, this higher level, experienced Account Executive is responsible for representing the Timberland brand with retailers and other prospective customers while developing long term business relationships. The territory is new York to the Mid Atlantic
Meets and exceeds assigned seasonal sales operating plans (sell in & sell through) for an assigned territory and/or an assigned group of accounts.
Creates a service distinction with our retail partners through detailed account planning and a thorough understanding of our customer's business.
Identifies opportunities in the marketplace to place Timberland footwear through multiple channels of distribution.
Identifies new account opportunities to meet growth targets, possesses a thorough understanding of the marketplace (competitor information, consumer understanding, current/future market penetration, etc.) and helps drive forecast accuracy.
Develops and successfully leverage cross-functional internal relationships (Sales Planning, Marketing, Credit, etc.).
Ensures proper visual standards are being adhered to by our customers both in store and on line, works proactively and collaboratively with customers to properly leverage marketing programs, and supports and leverages Timberland's commerce and justice platform.
3+ years Footwear sales experience in a similar industry required
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Strong organizational and time management skills
Up to 50% overnight domestic travel required
