LevelUp Force has an urgent need for a Senior Tier II/III Technical Support Specialist - Contractor to support one of our federal customers on short-term project on site in Washington, DC.
Must be available to start immediately
Provide subject matter proficiency with technical and analytical abilities to support a specialized operational environment.
Perform functional systems analysis, support, integration, documentation, training, implementation, and advice on complex problems that require intermediate level knowledge.
Must be a problem solver with excellent technical speaking abilities that can talk to all levels of technicians and users.
Must be able to document in detail processes, procedures, upgrades and problems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Image Windows workstations for user deployments
Test and install vendor updates and security patches, including for Microsoft products
Install applications and updates for end users
Configure Hardware and Software within the network infrastructure
Support and staff the Help Desk as scheduled
Resolve tickets on an as-needed basis
Assist with printer support and troubleshooting
Assist with remote logon (VPN and/or Citrix) issues
Assist with Active Directory Administration User account creation, Group and group policy object management, and integration with PIV cards
Assist with the inventory, installation, removal and storage of various computer assets including Personal Computers, Laptops, iPhones, monitors, printers, cabling, switches, routers, and hubs.
Coordinate end user support with other organizational units including the Network Team, Server Team, Database Team, CD Team, Contracting Officer, and other members of the Office of The Chief Information Officer.
Remediate network vulnerabilities and coordinate operations with the Network Security Officer and his team
Provide SmartBoard and end user assistance and support
Support installation and maintenance of VMware and Citrix Xen VDKI including error analysis and resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) plus years of experience in Tier 2 or 3 Technical Support or Subject Matter Expert role.
Virtualization experience in VMware and Citrix Xen VDI environment
MCP Certification preferred
CompTIA A+ Certification preferred
