This positionis an on-call, extra help position to sell event tickets and provide customer service and cashier for the golf shop.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MinimumQualifications High School Diploma/GED, and Three (3)months customer service experience which includes some cashiering experience; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the work.
Preferred Qualifications Previous computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and web based programs.
Previous work experience in ticket sales and/or clerical support work experience at a golf course, parks and recreation department, athletic or sports facility or equivalent.
Six months cashiering experience.

Prior to employment, the successful candidate must: Pass a criminal background check through law enforcement agencies.
Pass all job-related examinations/tests necessary to demonstrate required knowledge, skills and abilities, as determined by the hiring authority at time of job posting.
Declare ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
At time of appointment, the successful candidate must: Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License or ability to provide own transportation to job site.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of basic grammar, spelling and punctuation, math sufficient to perform the job.
Knowledge of counting and counting backmoney, reconciling a cash drawer and cashiering duties.
Knowledge of customer service techniques.
Knowledge of basic knowledge of modern office practices.
Skilled in greeting customers, clients and visitors; Skilled in basic office techniques.
Ability to learn and follow instructions including new work processes and procedures such as computer data entry or operation of equipment; Ability to use office equipment.
Ability to communicate, both oral and written, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Work is performed primarily in an office setting within a Parks facility and/orinside a ticket booth located in an environment that can be loud, distraction and dealing with various customer service situations.

Sells tickets to customers at various county functions.
Greets and directs visitors to appropriate destinations.
Types and enters data into a computer and/or database.
Performs basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, emptying waste baskets andclearing debris.
Sets up and takes down computerizedequipment andsecuring and locking facility.
Establish and maintain cooperative, effective, and productive working relationships using tact, patience and courtesy. Effectively plan and organize work and complete tasks within prescribed timeframes.
Learn assigned tasks and adhere to prescribed office and ticket selling routines.
Respond appropriately, within guidelines, to emergency and unforeseen situations.

Operate computer terminal or laptop, cash register, credit card machine and other office equipment.
Receive and collect cash and credit card payments.
Prepare accurate cash reports and inventory records.
Work a flexible schedule that will primarily involve weekends, nights, and holidays.

OTHER POSITION RELATED INFORMATION This position is defined as a non-regular at-willpositionfor the entire period of employment and may be terminated at any time by the Employing Official or designee.
This positions schedule and hourswill vary week to week.
The incumbent must be able to work holidays, evenings and weekends.
