Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have five years of experience in legal investigations or investigations and adjusting of accident claims, or four years of college and one year of such experience.
Duties Description • Handles claims to recover damage to Authority property and equipment.
Receives and reviews intake forms for referrals, asserts claims and corresponds with Insurance Companies and/or Vehicle Owners/Operators.
Prepares claim settlement releases for the approval. Refers, where appropriate, all claim material for the institution of suit.
Handles claims submitted by traveling patrons, including inputting claims into database, investigates claims (outreach to Authority staff) and makes recommendations to counsel.
Handles search warrants, subpoenas and information requests for records served on the Authority. Evaluate each request for consistency with the Authority's policy for release of personal records and compliance with the CPLR or other statutory authority. Gathers responsive records and prepares Authority's response.

Health Insurance and Prescription Drug Coverage.

13 Paid Holidays, 4 of which are floating holidays, which are credited in July each year for use from July 1st through June 30th.

Sick Leave is credited at the rate of one-half day each biweekly pay period up to a total of 165 days.

Employees with 20+ years of Authority/State service may receive up to an additional five days of vacation leave accruals annually.

Longevity Pay
Employees are paid bi-weekly, with no lag time.
