Job Description

The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the US Supply Plan for all products from the 3rd Party vendors allocated to them

This position will work closely with the various country, site, regional and global functional groups of Sales, Marketing, Sales Regional Managers, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Procurement to ensure effectiveness of the Supply Chain Processes in meeting overall service, inventory and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the monthly development of the US Finished Goods supply plan for 3rd party vendors that supports defined customer service and inventory metrics

  • Liaise within the US supply planning team to coordinate bulk deliveries from internal and external supply sites for 3rd party packaging to support customer service and inventory metrics for US.

  • Support the Global and Regional S&OP process through relevant metric reporting and summary of key supply decisions required.

  • Participate in the development of the supply planning strategy and implement relevant elements within TPO planning area.

  • Partner with the SRT groups to support contracting, performance management and the ongoing relationship with 3rd Party sites.

  • Actively participate in new product introduction and product transfer teams and ensure supply plans are developed, communicated and executed in support of the project timelines.

  • Maintains inventory at optimum levels via routine review of planning parameters.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited University or College
  • APICS or equivalent certification preferred

Key Requirements

  • Minimum three years Supply Chain Planning experience with a demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and "Best Practices"

  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems, e.g., SAP, APO/SCM, i2, Manugistics preferred

  • Specific experience in the areas of Supply Planning, Materials Management, Inventory Management, Demand Planning and Sales / Operations Planning preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred

  • Current knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements preferred

  • Experience in implementing Supply Chain Planning Execution Systems and Processes within an ERP environment, including design and implementation preferred

Job Description Summary: Assist in the management of over 14,000 SKU's and relationships with over 300 different vendors to ensure inventory turns, trend analysis, analytics of cost and margin trends, IMS market share, c-type reserve, market intelligence price compare, backorder reporting and vendor management for all items within pharmacy, physician, med-surge and hospital markets for generic and brand products. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks. * Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws. * Understand all purchase order procedures and global supply chain policies. Assist in implementing supply chain policies and procedures through purchasing system or key documentation * Performs statistical analysis to support decision making modeling for product selection, market forecasting, and Group Purchasing Organizations profitability * Creates and manages, along with the Director of Supply Chain, Generics, company forecasting on new, single, and multiply source products coming to market * Strategically manages with other Supply Chain personnel the optimal inventory breakdown and achieves company inventory turn objectives. Analyzes, develops and recommends plans through the collection of historical data, industry trends and competitive dynamics. Collaborates with team members to plan, recommend and achieve inventory objectives, supports goals to meet objectives, cost savings and inventory goals. * Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for work processing, data management, information retrieval, visual presentations and telecommunications, * Analyzes the profitability of new product proposals, bids, and rebate agreements and works to identify and develop plans to execute opportunities to increase generic gross profit. * Studies market pricing to ensure Anda is competitive from a costing and pricing perspective on an individual item basis. * Develops and improves supplier relationships. Takes initiative, develops partnerships with internal and external customers and manufacturers and maximizes efficiencies for information flow across functions to ensure product supply. * Performs related duties as assigned.
