Thermoforming Operator - Assembler/Finisher

The Thermoforming Operator assembler/finisher in the Thermoforming Department is responsible for trimming acrylic products, bending, inspecting, and packaging acrylic products. Fabricates product using procedures defined in production manual by:

Sanding and buffing acrylic products

Preparing testers and two-piece front tubs

Bending tub rails

Inspecting, packaging, and transporting tubs, testers, and shower bases according to production, quality assurance and packaging standards

Cutting two-piece front tubs with machine

Bending A-front tubs

Leveling tubs

Sanding and buffing tubs for repair.

Inspecting, packaging, and transporting tubs, testers, and shower bases according to

production, quality assurance and packaging standards

Works at different workstations as production needs require

Carries or transport materials, molds, inventory, and/or supplies to workstation

Takes precise measurements

Be fully engaged in the Continuous Improvement programs

Uses computer to enter data

Works online where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line

Operates production machinery, tools, and other equipment

Maintains a clean and safe work area

Support the goals of the organization

Accept responsibility of results and be held accountable

Regular and reliable attendance is a must

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Know how to use the necessary equipment (band saw, routers and robots).

Ability to use hand saws or other cutting tools
