Summary:In a safe environment, run thermoforming machine to schedule while making quality parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This position involves lifting various sized sheets that can weigh up to 30 LB and insert them into the thermoformer to be formed into an un-trimmed pan. After inspecting for deformities move untrimmed pan to the press to be stamped out of the sheet, put scrap onto pallet, deburr the pan and place stickers (You can get them from your supervisor) and fittings where instructed on the pan then stack on finished pallet. You must be able to read and understand the production paperwork and you must fill it out. You must clean up the work area as your shift comes to an end. If any process or mechanical changes need to be made to the equipment it must be approved or performed by supervision. The job includes wrapping pallets once they are completed and wrapping any unused sheets to protect from moisture absorption. It is your responsibility to read the production paperwork and the stickers to confirm you are putting the right stickers on the right pan. You must regularly assist in the setup of various molds in thermoforming machines. In this role, you will ensure that all machinery is running efficiently, producing quality product, and complete minor mechanical work. This role also involves making adjustments, keeping the equipment and production area clean. Other duties as assigned by management.

Safely operate thermoforming machines at or above standard levels of operation including quality, efficiency, scrap, and utilization. This includes packing finished product into boxes.
Identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.
Serve as a subject matter expert to new production staff and assist with training and development.
Provide innovative solutions for production issues.
Use cleaning solutions, air hoses and cleaning cloths to properly clean equipment and production area with sustainment of the 5S process.
Complete appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.
Inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects.
Able to use JDE to evaluate the production schedule.
Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to drive a forklift if needed.
Language Skills:Ability to read English and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:Basic math skills required.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to manage multiple priorities while assisting supervision. Ability to understand and interpret production documentation.

Packaging product - Placing material into plastic bags.
Boxing product- placing the finish product into boxes
Cutting open boxes- cutting and removing tape of raw material to be processed
Scanning labels- The employee has to the scan finish product into the system. Using a scan gun
Making Labels- The employee has to unroll a roll of labels, place that roll into a label machine, use the computer set up the information for that specific job and label.
Tapping Boxes- after a box quantity has been met the employee has to add bubble wrap if needed, close up the box, and tape it close.
5S- The employee has to make sure their work station is clean. This involves sweeping, picking up unused material, sacking and putting away unused material, and dumping large trash cans.
Stamping UPS Code- Some finish parts products have to have a UPC or serial number added. This is done by using a stamper and press down hard on to the product.
