Therapy/Advanced Practicum Students

THERAPY/ADVANCED PRACTICUM STUDENTS

Requirements:

• The training year will begin on August 12th, 2024 and end on July 9th, 2025

• Expected attendance 2.5 days (20 hours) per week which will be for the entire school day two days per week (8:00am-3:45pm) and half of the day on Friday (8:00am-12:15pm).

• Practicum students will be expected to attend morning and afternoon staff meetings as well as Clinical Meetings every Friday Morning.

• Currently enrolled in a Psy.D/Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology

• Declared ready by their graduate program to begin their practicum

• Abide by guidelines set forth by ACEPT (https://aceptchicago.org/practicum-guidelines/

• Practicum students will be expected and required to follow the guidelines of the Clinical Training Handbook

• The student is responsible for monitoring the number and type of hours he/she accumulates.

• Practicum students will provide individual, family and group therapy sessions each week, as well as various additional duties within the milieu environment to help monitor and socially engage students.
