Therapy Aide/Safety Coach

• Inpatient Rehab

Shift Hours: Full-Time, Sunday through Tuesday 7AM-7:30PM

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Licensed Therapist, assists patients in the rehabilitation process through the provision of appropriate rehabilitation techniques.

• Supports therapy staff with the identification of patient needs for appropriate care in rehab treatment areas.

• Assists with coordination of care between rehab and nursing, including patient transport.

• Engages patients in diverse activities under the direction of a Licensed Therapist

• Provides observation to ensure patient's personal safety

• Completes daily assignments as directed

• Reinforces rehabilitation techniques as directed

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent required

• Certified Basic Life Support with the America Heart Association is required prior to start.

Preferred qualifications:

• One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide preferred

• Six months of general maintenance experience and use of hand/power tools preferred
