The Plan addresses the ongoing issues related to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the Plan supports the community's MacTown 2032 strategic plan goal of Economic Prosperity. This Plan is intended to have enduring value."

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services. Intern must possess strong interpersonal skills with a high sensitivity to the needs of others, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff, administrators, patients, families, physicians, volunteers, and other customers. Be able to work efficiently, responsibly, and independently in an environment with multiple work demands.

Director will provide structured and frequent feedback pertaining to employability skills throughout the internship.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification

  • Age 18-25

Essential Job Functions

  • Clean treatment rooms and equipment

  • Fold clean laundry

  • Transport patients in wheelchair/transport chair

  • Guide visitors/patients to their destination

  • Assists staff as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times

  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment

  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Creativity, problem analysis and decision making

  • Ability to work shifts weekday shifts
