The Role Summary:

The Therapist provides evidence-based individual, group, and family psychological counseling to the clients and their families. Therapist shall provide intake, assessment and treatment planning for women, their children, youth and their families. Work closely with treatment team to ensure a comprehensive, coordinated effort to identify the needed services for women, children/youth and their families and formulate an effective treatment plan to help family fid their path to recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation/counseling for the assigned clients.

  • Provide individual, group and family counseling services as assigned.

  • Provide psychiatric progress notes and assessments for the assigned clients.

  • Develop treatment plans for each client and review and update as needed.

  • Documenting casework in a timely manner in compliance with agency policies and procedures.

  • Writing objective intake and case notes, progress and termination reports, follow-up reports and other timely status reports as requested by the Program Director or others.

  • Perform other duties as requested within the CONTRACTOR'S area of expertise as requested by EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR or his designee.

  • Maintain complete and accurate record of all work performed for the purpose of reimbursement.

  • Assist with the collection of GPRA and other evaluation data.

  • Provide MH services for clients, their families and their families in person or via Telehealth

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master of Arts Degree or Masters of Science in sociology, or psychology.

~OR~

  • State licensed as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) ACP (Advanced Clinical Practitioner), or LCSW (license Clinical Social Work)

~AND ~

  • Must have at least 2 years experience working with adults and their families.
