WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) … We are currently seeking a master’s level clinician to provide clinical services to Veterans and active-duty military members and their families. Preference will be given to Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP), but NMH will provide the training and assist with the certification process for individuals eligible to become QMHP’s.
The Clinician will provide the following services and referrals: Clinical assessment Risk assessment Continued engagement and connection to follow up services. Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management staff Complete all agency records utilizing a collaborative documentation approach Actively participate in team communication processes that ensure appropriate services and outcome Requirements:
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU… Master’s Degree in Social Work or other related social services field. Licensed at the independent practice level as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW) preferred LCSW and LMHC will also be considered. 2 or more years of clinical experience working with individuals with trauma, substance abuse and psychiatric disorders including psychosis, depression and suicidal ideation and behavior. Ability to diagnose using DSM 5 criteria.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and genuine outlook about change with a belief that people can achieve positive outcomes. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in an organized manner. Ability to work with clients who may exhibit unsafe, high-risk behaviors.
Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation to travel to work sites throughout the area.
