Roxbury is currently recruiting a per-diem mental health Therapist to work with our patients on acute psychiatric units. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description.
The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for providing care to varied populations including dually diagnosed adults and older adult patients. The employee may be required to perform job related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

Roxbury has been providing inpatient substance abuse services for over 35 years and specializes in the treatment of co-occurring mental health disorders. Our inpatient behavioral healthcare program for adults and adolescents provides short-term acute psychiatric stabilization. Master's Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in Psychology or other related field which includes a practicum in health or human service agency preferred. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Psychology or other related field and one year of clinical experience (minimum 1820 hours) in a health or human services agency required.
Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a registered nurse and a degree from an accredited school of nursing and one (1) year of counseling experience (minimum 1820 hours) in a health or human services agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting. If a person's experience did not take place in a drug and alcohol setting, the individuals training plan shall specifically address a plan to achieve counseling competency in chemical dependency issues.
Full certification as an addiction counselor by statewide certification body, which is a member of a National certification body or certification by another state government's substance abuse counseling certification board.
