Through our wide range of quality programs, including Therapeutic Foster Care and Behavioral Health Services, we provide individualized therapeutic programming not only to the youth we serve, but their families as well.

Therapist

$40 per hour.

Do you have experience in human services and want to work for a company that actively improves the lives of the individuals it serves? In the Therapist role, you will provide psychotherapy to aid individuals in increasing their sense of their well-being. You will employ a range of techniques based on experiential relationship-building, dialogue, communication and behavior change that is designed to improve the mental health of the person served or to improve group relationships (such as in a family).

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment by interviewing the child and family (if applicable), and transcribing or dictating relevant information for client records.

  • Provide therapy, family support, and crisis interventions to an individual, family and/or group using various treatment modalities as outlined in state/local contracts and/or state licensing standards.

  • Provide mental health consultation to stakeholders and treatment team members.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with an interdisciplinary team

  • Work with members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate other treatment initiatives including school performance, permanency, and reunification planning.

  • Develop and coordinate discharge plan based on treatment, indicating all relevant aftercare needs and plans.

  • Conduct educational groups for clients, families and foster parents.

  • Prepare and train the child's biological or legal parents to resume care of their child when reunification is the goal (if applicable to the population being served).

  • Conduct regularly scheduled face-to-face meetings with the person served and caretaker to monitor progress and discuss treatment strategies and services.

  • Maintain current, legible and adequate medical record documentation in client's chart.

  • Attend regular staff meetings, clinical meetings and one-on-one sessions with direct supervisor to process current status of cases.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in human services field

  • Professional Licensure (LSW, LISW, LPCA, or LPC) required.

  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly

  • A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance

  • Payrate is based on a trinary rate structure: $40/hour for billable hours worked with youth, 7.25 non-billable hours, and 21.63 for training and PTO. 75 to 80 is expected to be billable.

Provides and acts as a liaison for physician, patient and/or family between the hospital, community agencies and facilities.</p><p>Accountabilities</p><p>Performs intake assessment/evaluation of family dynamics and treatment needs, including creation of treatment plan. Prepares case history of patient's personal, social, and emotional development. <br><br> Assists patients to evaluate both their strengths and symptoms, and facilitate patients setting their own goals, and plan for appropriate services. Provides therapeutic intervention with patient family including individual, marital, parental, family and group therapies. Interprets nature of illness and prescribed course of treatment to patient and families. <br><br> Communicates family issues to other staff members. Helps patients develop social skills, interests, and leisure time activities to provide a sense of participation and personal worth, including opportunities for age appropriate, culturally appropriate activities. Assists patients to identify appropriate employment opportunities and vocational rehabilitation services. Functions as Designated Examiner which involves the commitment process, designated exam, provide testimony for probate courts.</p><p>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities</p><p>Leads the treatment team in interdisciplinary planning. Provides leadership with the flow of information among team members and payer source. <br><br> Leads support groups, patient/family education. Develops and achieves annual goals. Facilitates family involvement in the treatment process. <br><br> Works with referral sources, agencies and departments within the GHS system to promote clinical services at local and regional conferences. Promotes public awareness of clinical services through educational conferences, local events, and educational institutions. Promotes the organization by ensuing an understanding of program services available for patients; publicizing activities and accomplishments; adhering to a professional code of ethics. <br><br> Assists student interns from affiliated schools in development of professional and clinical skills. Determines presence of appropriate discharge placement and feasibility of caregivers participation in the discharge process. <br><br> Works with Utilization Review and case managers/ third party payer and hospital business office to negotiate coverage for psychiatric treatment when services are not a part of the clients covered services. <br><br> Assess patient's recommended discharge follow up services (medication, physician services, therapies, environmental needs /housing accessibility) with available resources. Enhances professional growth and development through professional affiliations; participation in educational programs, in service meetings, workshops and review of current literature. Participates in planning conferences and peer supervision.
