This position is eligible for a $1,500 retention bonus
($500 paid after 6 months, the remainder after 12 months)
Therapist - School Based
Provide individual, group and family therapy and clinical case management services to students enrolled in the Elementary Educational Mental Health Classrooms within the 916 School District. These mental health classrooms are a collaborative project between Canvas Health Inc. and Intermediate School District 916.
Therefore this position is collaborative in nature and requires working closely and being sensitive to relationships with the school district as well as with community providers and the local Social Service and Court Services departments. This position will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide leadership to the educational and clinical staff in developing an atmosphere within the classroom that is sensitive to individual children's needs to promote academic learning and mental health treatment. This position will be located at Pankalo Educational Center.
Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy required. MN state license and eligibility to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities required (e.g.
LP, LICSW, LMFT) or license eligible within 6 months may be considered. Prior experience in either residential or day treatment settings preferred. Experience in recreation, vocational or expressive therapies is preferred.
This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require occasional use for transporting clients to their home and activities in the community. An active driver's license and vehicle insurance per Canvas Health Inc. policy is required.
