Function:Behavioral/Mental Health Professional

Help out Children in our Area within Foster care as a Part-Time Therapist!

We are seeking passionate and committed Therapists for Part-Time and Per Diem positions in Alabama.

As a Therapist/Social Worker, you will facilitate Intensive Home-Based Services by modeling activities that help to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and families.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and family counseling services

  • Identify services based on an effective assessment of client's needs

  • Participate in individual and team supervision

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referrals and agencies



  • Master's degree in Human Service or related field:

  • Psychology; Master'sin Social Work; Master's in Counseling; Master's in Education with aconcentration in Counseling.

  • Must have at least one year of experience working with thechild mental health population.

  • Reliable transportation, auto insurance that complies with the state minimum policy

  • Valid driver's license in good standing

  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of children andtheir families

The Rehab Team at Providence is filled with therapists who have many years of experience and a wealth of knowledge. It is a family type atmosphere and the department works well as a team. The PT position is PRN and we are looking for someone to work one weekend a month and then PRN to help cover PTO, maternity leave and increase in patient volumes in the Acute Care area. The PT Department currently has three full time PTs, one part-time PT, 3 full time PTAs, 2 part-time PTAs and several PRN PTs/PTAs. The PTs primarily do evaluations in the Acute Care Department. What you will need: * Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred * Required Credential(s): * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. * Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy (RPT) credentialed from the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
