For more information on our programs, please visit our website: https://muirwoodteen.com/ The Therapist is responsible for providing residential addiction and mental health treatment as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

The therapist fulfills direct service, including individual /family and group psychotherapy, consultations, and crisis intervention. The Therapist directly interfaces with residents and families. Facilitate individual and group therapy; coordinate 12-step programming, management of daily milieu, and providing leadership to support staff.

Report directly to the Clinical Director as part of the clinical management team. Will hold a caseload minimum of 5 clients, running group therapy sessions, and participating in the weekly treatment team meetings. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments of clients at admission and re-assessments as required Conduct ACRQ at time of admission and at time of discharge Conduct twice weekly individual therapy sessions with assigned caseload Communicates with third-party insurance provider upon admission (or as necessary) Maintains comprehensive clinical documentation that meets or exceeds relevant legal, ethical, and accreditation standards Responsible for providing direct therapeutic services in the form of diagnostic assessments and treatment for all clients Provide weekly group therapy with residents as needed and directed by Clinical Director Facilitate Treatment Planning in the absence of the Clinical Director Working knowledge of KIPU electronic health records and CARF charting standards Responsible for parent/Referent communication and case management for client caseload (with client’s written consent) Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues Provide in-service training to staff and trainees on topics as needed Other duties as assigned by the supervisor, etc Requirements: Current LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license in good standing with the BBS OR current registration as an AMFT or ASW Trainee/Intern with the BBS (board registered associates must maintain an active supervision affiliation with a board approved clinical supervisor and maintain associate registration status with the BBS in good standing).
