This position will provide an intense focus on CCBHC consumers utilizing mobile crisis services. Provide direct counseling and therapy services including assessment and diagnosis; treatment planning; individual, couple, child, family, and group therapy; and crisis intervention.
Perform clinical intake procedures including determining who should attend therapy and in what configuration, obtaining proper consent for treatment, establishing productive therapeutic alliances with consumers, and developing individualized therapeutic plans with consumers. Perform clinical assessment and diagnosis processes including screening and assessing for substance abuse, serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and trauma; administering and interpreting results of assessment instruments; assessing consumers' engagement and motivation for treatment; assessing consumers' needs for external resources, linkages, or referrals; obtaining relevant and accurate family and biopsychosocial histories; identifying consumers' strengths, resilience, and resources; assessing consumers' problems systemically and contextually to make accurate diagnoses; and effectively communicating diagnostic information to consumers to promote understanding of diagnosis and treatment goals. Using a collaborative, consumer-driven process, develop measurable outcomes, prioritized treatment goals, clear treatment plans, and appropriate termination and after-care plans.
With consent, encourage the participation of consumers' family members and other designated persons in comprehensive treatment planning and care. Collaborate with other care team members to ensure consumers are referred and linked to needed external medical and non-medical resources. Utilize a variety of evidence-based and best-practice therapeutic treatment interventions that are consistent and congruent with the chosen model of treatment and theory of change, developmentally appropriate and culturally appropriate, sensitive to consumers' special needs, effective and connected to the treatment plan goals, and evaluated and modified as needed.
Manage risks, crises, and emergencies; and defuse intense and chaotic situations. Effectively assess risks for suicide and homicide; and develop, maintain, and update a safety plan for clients who present with potential self-harm, suicide, abuse, or violence. Document consumer progress to maintain a permanent record according to CCBHC protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires Master's degree in social service field.
Must be under licensure or currently licensed. Bilingual Preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: seek or maintain licensure. Requires CEUs and supervision.
REQUIREMENTS: Must possess Driver License and use personal automobile for local travel to locations other than primary office.
