Full Time: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

SHIELDS' mission is to develop, deliver and evaluate culturally sensitive, comprehensive service models that empower and advocate for high-risk families in South Los Angeles.

The Jericho Vocational Services Center (JVSC) utilizes a "one-stop" model for providing vocational and educational training, mentoring, case management, supportive and linkage services to create successful transitions to employment and career pathways. Jericho provides services for any Los Angeles County resident 18 years and older. Additionally, our Jericho program specializes in vocational services tailored for individuals impacted by the criminal justice system.

The Therapist provides crisis intervention, intake assessment, individual, family and group therapy to adults, children and families with a history of mental illness. This includes coordinating support services to assist clients with independent living. The Therapist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining documentation of client services within clients' charts, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures, Department of Mental Health contract and other related agencies' standards and guidelines.

Summary

Will provide outpatient Mental Health Services including psychotherapy using evidence-based practices as well as case management to eliminate mental health barriers to employment and enhance emotional well-being in order to achieve financial security, stability and self-sufficiency.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• Master's Degree-Registered or licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ACSW, AMFT, APCC, LMFT, LCSW or LPCC.

• Two years of experience working with individuals with a history of mental illness in a social service/mental health environment.

• Current California driver's license, valid car insurance and registration.

• DMH documentation and EXYM experience a plus.

• COVID-19 vaccination required. May request medical or religious exemption if applicable.
