Job Description Job Description Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc is looking for Therapists III to fill this position working in a correctional facility located in Mitchells, VA. This role requires a professional who can navigate the unique challenges of a correctional environment while delivering high-quality, ethical, and compassionate care to the inmate population.

Pay Rate : $47/hr-$54/hr depending on experience Benefits Offered: Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k Job Duties: Assess and evaluate the physical therapy needs of inmates using appropriate tests and diagnostic procedures.

Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving, maintaining, or restoring physical functioning, alleviating pain, and preventing physical dysfunction in patients. Implement therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and education on posture and body mechanics. Monitor and document patient progress in response to therapy interventions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Collaborate with other medical, psychiatric, and correctional staff to ensure comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of an inmate's health. Educate patients on techniques for prevention of injury and methods of achieving a healthier lifestyle within the constraints of the correctional environment. Comply with all facility policies and procedures, including safety, security, and confidentiality standards.

Provide guidance and supervision to physical therapy assistants and aides. Requirements: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice physical therapy.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, with preference given to experience in high-stress environments or with underserved populations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, correctional staff, and medical professionals. Ability to handle a full caseload and deliver effective treatment within the structured environment of a correctional facility. Knowledge of and experience with diverse therapeutic techniques and interventions.
