Therapist

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is seeking a Therapist to work in a Richmond, VA non-public elementary school. This role is full-time, over 12 months (includes summer work). Compensation is $31-35/hr.

The therapist will assess and counsel students individually or in small groups as they overcome whatever challenges they might face and alleviate the external barriers interfering with their ability to succeed. Candidates must possess strong knowledge in evidence-based practices, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication skills, be computer literate, independent, flexible, and people oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Supports students in K-8 referred by parents or staff.

• Provides appropriate therapy as needed for up to 20 students.

• Performs diagnostic testing to determine students needs.

• Interprets assessments/results and develops individual treatment plans.

• Maintains therapy records and follows strict privacy practices to ensure confidentiality

• Works closely with both school personnel and parents to develop specific interventions and support on behalf of student.

• Works as a referral agent linking students and families when appropriate with outside agencies to service their needs.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.

• Has or working towards LCSW, SPC, or LMFT.

• Knowledge of testing and evaluation techniques and competent in assessment procedures and interpretation of results.
