This includes multi-modal family system approaches to amplify and solidify healthy change for the individual, as well as with their family.

We are looking a for Licensed Therapist! At Embark Independence, our therapists work with our the residents to provide safety in day-to-day campus life, as well as to encourage residents in their daily treatment goals. In addition to this, our therapists collaborate with our life coaches and academic staff to facilitate success for our residents in our community-based care setting. Responsibilities

  • Participates in the initial therapy session held during intake.

  • Assists in the completion of the bio/med/psychosocial assessment at intake.

  • Create the Safety Plan for new students during intake and communicates this with the treatment team.

  • Maintains a caseload of 8 and provides weekly individual therapy for students on his or her caseload.

  • Provides process and psych-educational group therapy for residents.

  • Provides family therapy sessions with parents and students weekly or biweekly as determined by the phase of programming, or when determined appropriate in the therapeutic process.

  • Creates and oversees the Master Treatment Plan specific to each child on caseload.

  • Completes necessary assessments to inform treatment plan, as well as ensure appropriate ongoing interventions are in a place to maintain safety.

  • Provides ongoing and effective communication to families and staff regarding caseload management.

  • Updates the Student Goal Sheet on a week-to-week basis and communicates changes to the Residential Director.

  • Reviews Incident reports and End of Shift Reports for the caseload to ensure appropriate for students and monitoring progress, addressing issues, etc.

  • Revises and maintains an updated treatment plan for each student in cooperation with parents, residential staff, and others on the treatment team.

  • Completes and maintains all required documentation within the time frame specified to include weekly individual/family/group therapy notes, Red Flag meeting notes, Master Treatment Plans (MTP), Treatment Plan Reviews (TPR), Psychiatric reports, Family Visits, and Discharge Reports.

Qualifications

Computer Skills - working knowledge of Apple computers; and general familiarity with computers and computer systems.

Organizational Skills - handling management and day-to-day scheduling of appointments.

Time management skills.

Writing and editing skills.

Job Hours:

Typically, 45 -50 hours a week. Most of this time will be 9a-5p, but there will be some evening and weekend hours needed, especially to provide emergency coverage by being "on call". Work hours may be arranged with the Clinical Director.

Education and Experience:

Must be licensed/provisionally licensed in the State of Missouri (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)

Experience working with adolescents and families (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This person must be able to sit or stand at a personal computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading. This person must be able to see, hear, speak, walk, and sit for an adequate length of time to perform therapies and meet therapeutic needs of clients. Individuals must be able lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

Office environment.

Lighting and temperature adequate.

Some exposure to noise and crisis situations.

Some outdoor activities, possibly during temperature/weather, extremes may exist including walking between various buildings on campus.

Benefits

  • Competitive Pay - Salary Range: $42,000 - $80,000/year DOE, $4000 raise within the first year through our Mastery Program (2nd & 3rd year raises as well).

  • Sign-On Bonus $5000 ($1250 per Quarter worked).
