We are looking for a skilled and empathetic adolescent therapist that wants to make a difference and be part of an amazing and growing team located in Independence, Missouri. Our beautiful and private campus sits out in the woods just northeast of Kansas City, and is an environment that allows our residents to fully unplug and engage in their treatment. Yet, our campus is also just 30 minutes from the middle of downtown Kansas City! This provides a diverse array of opportunities for engagement with our residents.
Join us at Embark at our short-term residential facility at Independence, Missouri where our therapists offer guidance and support to adolescents and their families which includes multi-modal family system approaches to amplify and solidify healthy change.
At Embark Behavioral Health, therapists will be advocating for client and family care through strong assessments and treatment planning, ongoing progress monitoring with detailed case management, community-based support and robust aftercare planning.

The general schedule for therapists is Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm
Therapists will be expected to participate in an on-call rotation

Responsibilities
As a therapist, you will enjoy the following responsibilities:
Provide professional therapy services, including individual, group, and family in addition to crisis management as needed. Work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team for the client.
Work closely with his/her/their parents as well as parent coaching, and collaborating with milieu and academic staff.

Qualifications
What do you bring to this position?
Fully licensed in the state of Missouri.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or equivalent
A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy.
Preferred
Ability to skillfully engage parents and their children in a clinical manner
Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.
High level of verbal/written communication skills
Ability to pass a state background check
