Therapist Child - Full Time
Location: Punta Gorda
Employee is responsible for assessing and treating mental health/substance abuse/co-occurring disorder needs of patients seeking services in Outpatient.
MA/MS in Human Services field.
Experience working with both adults and children.
Minimum two years of clinical experience.
1.Develop and implement recovery-focused treatment plans, which include measurable objectives stated in behavioral terms.
2.Provide evidence-based brief and solution-focused individual, marital, group or family therapy for children and adults.
3.Maintain accurate and timely documentation per agency standards, including progress notes and outcome tools.
4.Become knowledgeable of, and be able to effectively communicate with related community service organizations.
5.Respond to crisis situations for current caseload as needed.
1.Knowledge and skills in treating co-occurring population preferred.
2.Ability to evaluate consumer needs and provide direct service; ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and community agencies.
3.Possess thorough knowledge of rules and regulations (including Florida's Mental Health Act) pertaining to the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric or phase of life problems, including overall treatment concepts and objectives.
4.Excellent computer skills required, as Therapist will document an electronic medical record.
