AUSTIN LAKES HOSPITAL is seeking a dynamic and talented THERAPIST - PRN STATUS for Weekend coverage.
Located in the heart of vibrant Austin, Texas, 58-bed Austin Lakes Hospital offers a continuum of psychiatric services for adults 18 and up with acute mental health needs in a confidential, caring environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self-awareness, personal growth and problem solving skills. The cornerstone of our treatment rests on exceptional mental health services and clinical excellence. Our continuum of care includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety and other behavioral health disorders.
THERAPIST - INPATIENT PROGRAM: Availability for: 8a-5p; Weekends.
Some weekday shifts may be available. Candidates must have availability to work at least 3 shifts per month.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provides group and individual therapies.
Conducts Psychosocial Assessments.
Participates in Treatment Plan development.
Provides clinical case management and discharge planning.
Ensures all required documentation is legible, accurate, and timely.
Works cooperatively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Maintains professional licensure and training.
Master's Degree in Behavioral Health field from an accredited college or university
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
Licensed by the State of Texas in Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPCi, or LMFT) Experienced Social Worker preferred.
EXPERIENCE: At least 6 month's work experience providing individual, group and/or family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Excellent written and verbal skills. Strong assessment and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude and ability to meet demands of heavy caseload. Ability to maintain patient records and confidentiality. Clear understanding of the appropriate boundaries / relationships between staff and patients.
Excellent clinical and didactic skills, and understanding of group dynamics. Clear understanding of the needs of patients aged 18 and above.
