Providence is calling a Therapeutic Safety Monitor Tech (Telemetry, Night Shift, 0.9 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

In this position you will:
Demonstrate understanding and proficiency of the use of the electronic Tele-Safety Aide software.
Maintain visual observation at all times.
Verbally redirect patient over digital 2-way audio device that is in patient room.
Immediately summon the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide the appropriate care to this patient population based on the patients individualized treatment plan as delegated by the RN.
Participate in hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patients when arriving on unit and upon completion of shift assignment.
Arrange meal break times with nurse and informs nurse prior to leaving monitoring station for any reason so that relief may be provided to ensure constant patient observation.
Provide patient with explanations as necessary, but does not counsel or provide opinions. Demonstrate behaviors in line with Service Excellence.
Seek help or advice immediately when patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others.
Participate in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school graduate or G.E.D.
Completion of Medical Terminology course within 90 days of hire
6 months experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting
Able to read, write, and speak English
