General Summary: Select and produce plays/musicals to be held in SC Theater according to available budget and supervise associated work needed on the events.

Job Duties:
1.Select the semester play or musical and determine production success according to available budget.
2.Secure licensing agreement and scripts for rehearsal.
3.Secure theatre and associated rooms via room scheduler.
4.Alert administration and security that this event is taking place and scheduled appropriately.
5.Work with system faculty and staff with agreed upon responsibilities.
6.Develop audition schedule and provide scripts to potential actors.
7.Hold production meetings for Lighting, Scenery, Props, Costumes, Sound and Choreography to determine expectations.
8.Determine Cast, conflicts and establish a rehearsal schedule.
9.Hold rehearsals.
Prepare all publicity, press releases with college public relations representative.
Work with college marketing to prepare free and purchased flyers and banners.
Create email communication with the college system regarding show dates and times.
Communicate with local high schools to attend the matinee performances.
Arrange the Drama Club to provide House manager, ushers and concessions.
Attend all technical rehearsals to establish scenic, lighting and sound effects.
Attend all performances, acting as encouragement to students in the educational process.
Prepare a Semester Report and submit it to the Dean prior to the end of each semester after final grades are submitted along with the activities log.
Other related duties as required.
Clearance: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The College has provided instructions on how to obtain these clearances and are available here.
