Job Description:
TITLE: Theatre Lighting Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Visual/Performing Arts
SUPERVISOR: Midaly Carrasquillo
SSTA APPROVER: Midaly Carrasquillo
SCHEDULE: 18.5 hours per week
General Statement of Duties/Responsibilities:
Install lighting instruments as dictated by Lighting Designer
Maintain lighting inventory
Maintain rep lighting plot in Fuller Theatre
Assist with the maintenance of color filters and templates
Patching of lighting design
Attend strike
Return Fuller Theatre (A 262) to class setting after production weekends
Other:
Some weekend work required before, during, and after production weekends
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of programming ETC ION 1024
Understanding of DMX Addressing
The ability to lift 40#
BA in Theatre with experience in lighting technology and/or design
The ability to manage small crews
Experience in higher education or K-12 theatre production
Preferred Qualifications
MA or MFA in Theatre with experience in lighting technology and/or lighting design
2-3 years of experience as Technical Director
Ability to teach Stage Management
