Theatre Graduate Assistant

Job Description

As the Theatre Graduate Assistant, you would play a crucial role in the academic and artistic life of your Campbellsville University's Theatre Department.

Responsibilities:

• support technical production work

• supervision of the use of the Theatre shop spaces. They are often required to

• complete work hours in the evenings and/or on weekends,

• may be asked to supervise undergraduate students as they execute the duties of a particular position.

• serve as on-site technical support and space access during events for University departments and organizations; this may include external use of the facility, as in rentals.

• Support co-curricular activities in the Department of Theatre and Dance as in alignment with Technical experience.

• Areas of staffing could include Scene Shop, Costume Shop, Props Storage, and working Performance events.

• support faculty and students in various aspects of theatrical production and education.

• helping with set construction, costume design, lighting and sound setup, stage management, or even acting depending on your skills and interests.

• may be involved in all stages of theatre productions, from planning and auditions to rehearsals and performances.

• Assist with performance day duties

• oversee and supervise student workers

Requirements:

• Demonstrated skillset in any aspect of scene design, sewing, prop design or any skill that would be an asset to the

• Must at least be accepted into the CU Graduate Program.

• Must be willing to work some nights and weekends
