As a THEATER AEROSPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL SPECIALIST, GS-2101-7/9/11, you will provide advanced technical, instructional, and training support to upgrade skills to obtain maximum performance on all aspects of the Air Operations Center force level weapons system. In addition to training responsibilities, instructors perform senior administrative tasks in support of the Air Operations Group.
Instructs and evaluates AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record.
Instructs same to function within established joint doctrinal principles to support the planning and prosecution of theater level joint operations.
Performs as instructor and/or examiner, evaluating and examining AOC personnel to determine preparation for the application of aerospace force/operations, proficiency during actual operations, instructional ability, technical competence, and post operations critique.
Evaluates formal training directives, and develops course changes, new material, new training systems, and methods.
Determines additional training requirements to advance proficiency while maintaining the highest mission capable rate.
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all technical aspects of equipment assigned to the AOC weapons systems and its interface with applicable U.S. and allied, aircraft, space weapons systems, search and rescue, theater missile defense and air tasking order development and execution.
Supports and assists the development of briefings and mission preparations including: combat planning, weather factors, mission objectives, and other agency coordination to ensure effective mission execution.

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Level
Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight. Experience in non-routine pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. GS-09 Level
Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight. Experience in pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. GS-07 Level
Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training in working with directives and regulations governing transportation of personnel, cargo or freight. Knowledge of freight rating, classification of carrier's agreement, and contracts for the transportation of personnel, cargo or freight. Experience which includes planning, organizing, and coordinating work.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position.
