The Role

Special Team Member Beverage Bar

• Whether for a great cup of coffee, craft beer or glass of wine, as Dom's Kitchen & Market Special Team Member Beverage Bar, your focus on hospitality will create the energy and unique vibe of our special destination neighborhood coffee house and neighborhood bar! As the Special Team Member Beverage Bar, you will work beside a dynamic team of skilled professionals in Coffee and Adult Beverage focused on guest expectations and dedicated to delivering Talk of the Town Guest Service!

Responsibilities

Dom's Kitchen & Market Special Team Member Beverage Bar will work together in the Coffee and Beverage Bar assisting the Special Team Lead Beverage Bar and be accountable for Beverage Bar responsibility that merges your love for people - both team members and guests - with operational excellence. You will be:

• Measured and rewarded by your ability to deliver Talk of the Town Guest Service, drive optimal Beverage Bar performance and maintain operations

• Accountable for the extraordinary experience of your guests

• Responsible for engaging conversations with guests and ensure each guest receives an extraordinary Talk of the Town guest experience

• Focused on driving sales through technical expertise, industry knowledge and fast-paced momentum

• Expected to successfully train and continue development of expertise to enhance the guest experience and be part of the first-class Beverage Bar team leading to inspired Beverage Bar teamwork creating an inviting atmosphere for guests

• Expected to assist with work duties across the Beverage Bar inclusive of prioritizing guest service, assist guests with product needs and product orders, drink recipes are followed, timely production of quality drinks and foods, breaking down deliveries, prep work, stocking bar, tables and displays, consistent cleaning of bar and tables

• Responsible for Beverage production, beverage prep is consistent and technically accurate within budgeted ingredient cost goals, follow controls to minimize beverage/food/supply waste, follow appropriate repurposing of beverage waste

• Challenged daily with Beverage Bar team to provide world class FRESH conditions and presentations including Quality Drinks, Quality Foods, In-Stock, In-Code, product rotation and temperature checks

• Accountable for backroom and cooler logistics including minimum inventory levels, freshness dates and organization of products and supplies

• Responsible that the high standards of Food Safety and Sanitation are maintained at all times throughout Beverage Bar counters, tables, sales floor, cooler and backroom including regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment, cases and shelves with organization and sanitation of all backrooms and supplies

• Listening for the Voice of the Guest to identify department trends for guest needs and expectations and counsel with Special Team Lead Beverage Lead to integrate findings to deliver value and accelerate growth

Qualifications

• Coffee Shop and/or Adult Beverage experience in retail, hospitality or restaurant

• Experience in coffee, wine, spirits, craft beer, mixology knowledge preferred

• Passionate and knowledgeable about coffee, wines, beers, spirits and enjoy conversing with and educating customers to establish and develop relationships

• Engaged in continuous education about coffee, wine, spirits and craft beers remaining current on product trends and seeking emerging trends

• Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills

• Strong cognitive skills and problem analysis

• Advanced computer skills

• Sense of urgency, time management, prioritization and multitasking skills

• Detail oriented

• Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Available to work a flexible schedule during the peak selling periods which will include weekends, evenings and holidays

• Availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time

• Strong sense of team - desire to WIN together with a first-class team!

• Must be 21 years of age

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to perform the following physical activities regularly: Walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions

• Walking/Standing 90% and sitting 10% of day

• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas and/or products

• Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force often and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures - walk-in coolers and freezers

• Exposure to chemicals and cleaning products

• Operating equipment (baler, compactor, coffee and beverage utensils)
