SAIC is searching for candidates to join a team of engineers supporting the Foreign Military Sales of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Missile System AN/TPY-2 Radar acquisition and development requirements within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The successful candidate will perform systems engineering activities and subject matter expertise in support of the AN/TPY-2 Radar site design, deployments, and emplacement of multiple THAAD tactical sites for FMS customer
Close coordination with the FMS customer including the development efforts between new FMS cases and US to ensure alignment of all hardware/software engineering requirements.
Familiarity with FMS contractor performance and execution of required documentation for design reviews, Integrated Master Plans and Integrated Master Schedules.
Coordination of development efforts between new FMS cases and US fielded systems to ensure alignment of THAAD hardware/software engineering.
Review performance, reports and deliverables from prime contractor.
Duties include close coordination with the FMS customer including the development efforts between new FMS cases and US to ensure alignment of all hardware/software engineering
Provide insight and knowledge regarding THAAD system emplacement, initialization, and operator / organizational level system maintenance and services.
Advise and assist on the technical requirements of Common Support Equipment utilized at the THAAD battery.
Assist in developing and reviewing FMS Case Amendments.
Must be able to properly process briefings and other media in accordance with Foreign Disclosure requirements and regulations.
This position requires a BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical degree and 8 years of related experience.
Technical knowledge of THAAD system configuration and functionality.
Support the development of critical system engineering and integration processes.
Solid understanding and practical experience formulating technical processes (systems engineering, operational readiness and risk management) for large, complex programs
Solid technical writing and presentation development capability
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
Prior experience in the fielding of the AN/TPY-2 Radar System
Prior experience executing Foreign Military Sales requirements
Familiarity with MDA Acquisition Systems Engineering and Acquisition Management procedures
Experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB, DOORS, etc.
