Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Life Coach to join our organization, focusing on supporting adult learners in their academic, professional, and personal development. The Life Coach will play a crucial role in providing guidance, access to resources, and personalized support for individuals navigating their educational and career journeys.

Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.Masters in social work, psychology, counseling, special education (preferred)Bilingual (preferred)

ExperienceProven experience in mentoring, coaching, or educational support roles.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Exhibits passion and excitement about working with students.Empathetic and patient with the ability to build trust and rapport.Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.Proficient computer skills and comfort with technology.Ability to travel between campuses as needed

Responsibilities and Duties:Student ServicesLeverage social work background to address unique needs of adult learners.Implement Life Coach Model for accessing community services and supportsProvide on-site and virtual mental health support for adult learners.Conduct regular meetings to understand and address learners' needs.Act as a mentor, fostering a supportive environment and building strong relationships.Academic AdvisorSupport and train adult learners for success in a blended learning environment.Guide learners in setting individual goals and academic plans.Monitor academic performance, engagement, and communicate regularly.Attend team meetings, contributing to educational guidance.Provide essential communications for state testing, career fairs, and graduation needs.Career CounselingCollaborate with instructional staff and PATH counselors to align academic and workforce goals.Support learners in identifying long-term goals.Connect learners to career pathways and higher education based on interests.Collaborate with district experts and industry partners for job-related opportunities.Provide post-graduation follow-up services at scheduled intervals.Performs all other duties as assigned.Case ManagementDocument all interactions in a uniform, detailed, and consistent mannerAct as a liaison between the student and community resource providers, i.e.: childcare, rental/living assistance, gas cards, and/or food resources, etc.Coordinate workshops and/or open-enrollment meetings with service providers for adult students.Escalate methods of communication and contact to include home visits for students who are deviating from their support plan and/or having attendance-related concerns.

TEXASWORKS is designed for adult students, 18-50, who desire to earn their high school diploma and an industry recognized certificate.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Must meet one of the following:Texas State Teacher's Certification in subject to be taughtBachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taughtBachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taughtBachelor's degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area. This is to be supported by a professional letter of recommendation from the educator's employer or supervisor.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):Passion for ADULT EDUCATION AND NON-TRADITIONAL studentsAbility and patience to work interactively with ADULT studentsComputer literate.Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Able to learn and implement teaching curriculum programs and instruct students on utilization.Ability to understand the individual needs of each ADULT student.Ability to communicate with all levels of students, parents, co-workers, and Campus Director.Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and student data such as diagnostic test results, state assessments scoring, and grade point average.Flexibility with changes, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Responsibilities and Duties:Responsible for the Instructional and Program Management for all students assigned, including but not limited to, classroom instruction, after-school and Saturday tutorials.Administer and monitor Diagnostic Tests to determine a student's performance level.Instruct and motivate students in all course study.Assign lessons and correct homework in a timely manner.Administer tests to evaluate student's progress, records result, and issue reports to inform parents of progress.Maintain discipline in the classroom.Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning, safe, attractive and stimulating.Set a good housekeeping example in the classroom and encourage students to follow this example.Communicate with parents and schedule periodic meetings, before or after school, to discuss student progress and problems.Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops.Inspire students with consistency, care, and interest to build self-esteem and promote continued success.Praise students, compliment them and encourage them in order to build character.Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student learning experience.Prepare classroom instructions to promote student success on state assessment exams.Work closely with the Special Education teacher to ensure special education student modifications are being implemented.Perform related duties such as assisting students, and counseling students in adjustment and academic problems.Other Responsibilities and Duties:Master the Premier High School Curriculum System in order to assist the students in mastering the system.Read and comply with the ResponsiveEd Procedures Manual, Student Handbook, Student Code of Conduct, and the Employee Handbook.Perform special projects, during and after normal business hours, and other duties as assigned. NOTE: After normal business hours may include, but is not limited to, Saturday Mandatory State Tutorials.Equipment Used:
