The Faculty Research Development team member plays a critical role in fostering a culture of research excellence and innovation within the School of Health Professions. This position is dedicated to supporting faculty members in advancing their research agendas, securing external funding, and enhancing scholarly productivity. By providing comprehensive guidance, resources, and strategic support, the Faculty Research Development team member empowers faculty to reach their full research potential and contribute significantly to the school's research mission.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Facilitate progress, supervise personnel, and manage reporting on all current grants

  • Mentor TTUHSC School of Health Professions faculty in grantsmanship activities.

  • Mentor TTUHSC School of Health Professions faculty in research methods, design, and statistical analysis.

  • Develop and execute faculty development programs.

  • Work with TTUHSC School of Health Professions faculty to identify and define a clear research agenda and goals.

  • Collaborate with TTUHSC School of Health Professions to submit external grants.

  • Identify collaborative funding opportunities for TTUHSC School of Health Professions faculty.

  • Assist TTUHSC School of Health Professions Office of Research and Innovation plan the annual Endowed Lecture Series and other events.

Required Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree in a related field.

  • A strong record of scholarly achievement and research productivity.

  • The successful candidate is expected to maintain an independent research program with a minimum of 50% of salary supported by external funding.

  • Extensive grantsmanship and mentoring experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Professor or Professor

  • Faculty development knowledge and experience with research and grants

  • Minimum of 18 credit hours completed in graduate methods and statistics

  • Educational policy experience
