Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center - Cbb: Research Assistant Professor - Non-Tenure Track

The Department of Cell Biology and Biochemistry in the TTUHSC School of Medicine seeks to recruit a research faculty member in a research assistant professor rank (non-tenure track). The successful candidate must have a strong track record of excellent publications in top-tier scientific journals and a research focus on pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. This position provides opportunities to develop independent research projects for intramural and extramural grant funding. The responsibilities of this individual include not only conducting basic and translational research but also mentoring and overseeing graduate students.

The department (https://www.ttuhsc.edu/medicine/cell-biology-biochemistry/default.aspx) currently comprises fifteen full-time faculty studying biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology of widely ranging topics in medicine and biology, including cancer, reproduction, diabetes, metabolism, development, and neurodegenerative diseases. We enjoy a collegial and cooperative research environment both within and between departments that is especially conducive to collaboration and scientific discourse.

This position will be a primary appointment in the School of Medicine. Applicants must have a terminal degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) and salary is commensurate with experience and expertise.
