Position Summary Texas Oncology is searching for a Sr. Oncology Liaison.

The Sr. Oncology Liaison applies consultative selling skills, creates effective business relationships to increase oncology & hematology new patient Physician Referrals in order to achieve annual territory organic growth goals. Texas Breast Specialists and Texas Urology Specialists are a part of Texas Oncology. Texas Oncology is an affiliate of The U.S. Oncology Network, which is owned by McKesson Specialty Health, a division of McKesson Corporation.

Job Details: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform marketing and sales activities for an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned objectives. Using consultative selling skills, initiates contact with non-oncology physicians and key staff to engage customers, source needs, and recommend service solutions in order to market USON affiliated Practice oncology services and increase the number of new oncology patient referrals.

    Establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with referring physicians in the territory. Identifies, develops, and implements sales, marketing, and outreach plans, presentations, and strategies designed to develop incremental referrals, new referral relationships, and meet customer needs.

  • Develops a thorough understanding of regional business conditions relating to the industry, competition, and relevant business trends. Identifies future growth opportunities for new services.

    Relays physician feedback and market trends data to practice leadership. Recommends and executes complex/unusual business solutions to resolve market and/or customer issues

  • Works collaboratively with practice physicians and practice leadership in identifying and facilitating referring physician and community based sales or outreach activities. Identifies future growth opportunities for new services.

  • Works with practice management team to ensure timely resolution based on customer feedback. Recommends business solutions to resolve market and/or customer issues.

  • Responsible for ensuring the efficient adherence to certain administrative duties, including timely completion of expense reports, use of automation tools such as CRM, detailed sales metric reporting and analysis, and business planning. Responsible for managing travel expenses within guidelines and budget.

  • Other duties as assigned. May train coworkers on CRM, regulations, and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in business, health or equivalent required. At least seven (7) years healthcare industry service sales experience with a proven sales record of successful relationships required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and databases.

  • Proven ability to be successful with a consultative selling model.

  • Ability to understand business intelligence reporting and impact of growth initiatives on practices financial viability.

  • Proven ability to prioritize opportunities and convert it into a successful strategy for developing and maintaining existing business.

  • Excellent presentation and relationship skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients.

Work may require travel by automobile, approximately 50% of work week. Sales development people regularly work outside the office in order to call on customers to make sales. The vision of Texas Oncology is to be the premier provider of oncology and hematology care in the Southwest.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSincluding, but not limited to the following: Standing Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Walking For short distances for short durations. Surfaces include ceramic tile"bricks" with linoleum in some food process areas. Height of work surfaces is between 36" and 48". Sitting Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table. Lifting Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more and are unloaded by the team member using a hand truck. Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions of up to 3' x 1.5'. Cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72"high. Carrying Large cans, weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces, are carried from the workstation to storage shelves. Occasionally, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds is carried from the storage room to the front of the store. Trays of pizza dough are carried three at a time over short distances, and weigh approximately 12 pounds per tray. Pushing To move trays which are placed on dollies. A stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24"- 30" and requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push. Trays may also be pulled.
