What does the job entail?

We are looking for a Test Technician to work on full vehicle and system-level tests both in the lab and in-field. In this role, you will be responsible for building prototype vehicles, test benches, instrumenting vehicles, collecting data and reporting test results to the broader cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup and run development and validation tests with the test engineer(s) (thermal, vibration, humidity, corrosion, electrical performance, endurance, etc.)

• Support prototype vehicle builds

• Troubleshoot and service prototype vehicles

• Build and bring-up of test benches

• Document test results and work with the test engineer

• Support technical root cause and resolution of issues found during testing

• Select and install instrumentation needed (accelerometers, strain gauges, pressure gauges, thermocouples, etc.)

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with prototyping and/or validation testing

• Experience working with high voltage and an understanding of high voltage safety practices.

• Experience using common machine shop equipment preferred.

• Understanding of how to read electrical schematics and use manufacturers' product data sheets.

• High level of interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
