Job Title: Test Technician II

Job Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to engineers and scientist on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment

  • Responsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies

  • Work from moderately complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches

  • Design and test prototype assemblies and production units

  • Use judgment in re-working or re-wiring to bring unit within quality control specifications

  • Test, inspect, and repair electronic, optical or mechanical assemblies

  • Work under minimal supervision and may provide guidance to other technicians

  • Capable of performing related manufacturing processes

  • Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certification

  • May assist in training new team members

  • Interface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials

  • Perform Key Performance Indicators:

  • Meet production deadlines

  • Quality of finished product (Pass/fail rates)

  • Raw material stock levels

  • Compliance outcomes

  • Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time, and to reprioritize in response to changing operational conditions

  • Perform standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and recording results

  • Require knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment, alignment and troubleshooting test failures

Job Responsibilities Part II

Qualifications

  • Requires an associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area

  • Must demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills

  • Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices

  • Soldering and wirebonding experience a plus

  • Must be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals

  • Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview

  • Experience with MRP a plus

  • Must have good mechanical skills

Primary Responsibilities: * Conducts pre-donation medical screening in accordance with established guidelines. * You determine Hematocrit (HCT) and Protein via finger stick and use of the hematastat and refractometer. * Promotes customer satisfaction through appropriate interaction and responsiveness to customer needs. * Assesses donor suitability and engages in set-up, monitor, and disconnect procedures of the plasmapheresis machine and donors. * Provides appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates. * Ensures all donor screening information is complete and accurate prior to donation. * Ensures donor confidentiality. * Effectively communicates donor medical information to Medical Staff. * Establishes and maintains donor files in an organized and competent manner. * Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records. * Assists in maintaining a clean, organized and efficient work area, including maintaining supplies necessary to perform job duties. * Disposes of all contaminated disposable equipment. * Builds rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction with the center to support long-term donation. * Performs general administrative duties, including greeting donors in a friendly manner, answering phones, and assisting center management as needed. * Learns and maintains through familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and internal company procedures. * Maintains and ensures proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between donors. * May assist, plan and participate in marketing programs, community service activities, mentoring, training, facility care and continuous improvement activities.
