Job Description:

Responsible for conducting tests, debugging, and resolving issues in Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, including those related to individual components. This position assists in production operations by ensuring that products are tested thoroughly and consistently to meet high quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform electrical test and debug of product (New product and RMAs) in an organized and timely

manner using the company's tools (Flying prober and other manual test bench tools).

  • Verify accuracy and reliability of work performed.

  • Promptly advance the product to the subsequent state as soon as debug or test is done.

  • Provide feedback to design, test engineers, and other departments, of observations during debug and testing of product, particularly regarding opportunities to enhance test coverage and reduce risk.

  • Propose enhancements to the test coverage, testing procedures and test fixture requirements for New Product Integrations.

  • Verify that the test checklist and procedures are adhered to, that test plans are completed, and that

test records and databases are promptly updated.

  • Maintain a record of test reports, logs, and other pertinent information to ensure traceability.

  • Escalate issues to Test Supervisor and management when necessary.

  • Aid colleagues in resolving product or process related issues.

  • Collaborate with Engineers and Production in the development and implementation of new procedures.

  • Conduct remote debugging and testing, as necessary, for other testing sites.

  • Undertake preventive maintenance for all testing equipment, ensuring that the machines are in excellent condition.

  • Alert the appropriate personnel regarding parts that require repair and servicing, such as calibration.

  • Conduct troubleshooting of equipment issues and other tasks to reduce downtime.

  • Adhere to all company guidelines in handling products and ensuring personnel safety within the facility.

Requirements:

  • Associates in Electronics/Electrical Degree or equivalent of 2 years minimum experience in testing/troubleshooting electronics parts.

  • Possess a strong comprehension of PCB and electronic components.

  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Willing to travel.

PCB Design and Fabrication

IPC-610 familiarity

Component Assembly experience

Component rework (soldering / desoldering
