Description:

The Test Technician will assemble, rework, and repair electronic and mechanical components and assemblies in support of production, development, and test activities. Perform, document, and analyze the results of test of complex electrical or mechanical systems. May also assist with assembly and test of wiring harnesses and test fixtures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform assembly, rework, and repair of assemblies in accordance with applicable standards, drawings, and procedures as directed by the Production Lead and/or senior engineers.

  • Records work and maintains status and traceability of assemblies and units in using provided configuration management tools.

  • Maintains control of hardware and provides for its safety while performing work.

  • Flags suspect parts, assemblies, or units for inspection or test as required.

  • Performs and improves test plans based on procedures and information provided by the Production Lead and/or senior engineers.

  • Documents and analyzes results of test plans, creating reports for review by the Production Lead and/or senior engineers.

  • Maintain Department Specific Records

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Specialized training and appropriate certification in assembly, rework, and repair of electronics and/or mechanical assemblies.
  • Minimum three (3) years' previous relevant work experience.

  • Familiar with electronics components: resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transistors, ICs, etc.

  • IPC J-STD-001 Training and Certification preferred
