Description:

Test Technicians help perform QA for prototype construction vehicles and/or prototype components in the Test & Development group. This is not a production role. These positions are to help test new designs and design improvements to Telehandlers, bucket lifts, scissor lifts and other similar construction equipment.

Candidate will be "hands-on" testing heavy equipment. 70% of their day will consist of testing hydraulics and electronics. There is a lot of variety in this role. No one specializes and everyone takes on tasks as they're allocated by management.

Under the supervision of a Test Engineer, individual will perform the following tasks to verify performance and validate the machine and components to Internal Standard Test Procedures and External Standards.

• Taking apart, testing, and troubleshooting issues with hydraulic powered equipment without the use of a manual or help desk line as they are all prototypes

• Install various types of Instrumentation (pressure ports, temperatures, displacements, speed etc.) as well as the data acquisition system (Somat eDAQ)

• Operate test machines in accordance with Internal Standard Test Procedures and External Standards. (Will not be driving anything off site)

• Communicate and record any machine issues encountered during build.

• Support the Test and Development process improvement activities.

• Perform tests of systems and components to assure proper. The focus is on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems aside from the internal components of the power unit (motor)

• Troubleshooting systems, perform basic failure analysis, and follow detailed test procedures

• Will fabricate test fixtures, including establishing appropriate instrumentation, test sequence and procedures.

• Will routinely work with a data acquisition system - EDAQ system

Skills & Qualifications:

1.Experience building and or troubleshooting hydraulic systems

2. demonstrated a high level of hands on mechanical aptitude

3. above average computer experience, primarily with Microsoft EXCEL. will also use outlook, Teams, and other company specific systems

4. basic electrical or electronic aptitude

5. okay with heights, they may need to go up on a lift to plan for testing properly

6.HS diploma or GED minimum education

7. experience reading blueprints
