Boeing Global Services is a rapidly growing segment of the Boeing Company, and C-17 Global Integrated Sustainment Partnership (GISP) is a key program within it. The GISP Program provides sustaining engineering in multiple engineering disciplines. This mid-career position will support Ground Support Software development, integration and qualification as well investigating fielded software anomalies.

In this role, the candidate will perform activities related to the development and integration of hardware and software products, troubleshoot failing systems, investigations into data related field issues, and general support leading to a healthy C-17 fleet maintenance posture.

A successful candidate in this position will have experience with electrical hardware, basics of electro-mechanical design, software development and general multi-discipline troubleshooting experience. The candidate would also be an excellent communicator, exhibiting an ease with interfacing and working directly with customers and C-17 Maintenance personnel. Experience with automated test and computer architecture are considered pluses.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 7 or more years' experience or PhD degree with 4 or more years' experience from an accredited course of study, in Electrical or Software engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hardware and software design or troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience with ATLAS and LabWindows C

  • Ability to work across the hardware-software boundary

  • Ability to work independently or as part as a team

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Occasional travel (10%) may be required in support of the program and customer.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

VIEW JOBS 11/24/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-22T00:00 DESCRIPTION The City of Long Beach, Department of Health and Human Services is recruiting for a full-time Community Program Specialist II in the Clinical Services Division of the Physicians Services Bureau. Reporting to a Community Program Specialist IV, this position is responsible for managing, overseeing, and coordinating all aspects of the HIV Testing Services - Social and Sexual Network Program, including program compliance, goals and objectives tracking, and staff supervision activities. This position will be based out of the Main Health Department, located at 2525 Grand Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90815, and will provide HIV testing services at various locations through the greater Long Beach area, including on the Mobile Testing Unit. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES * Assists with quality management oversight to the HIV Testing program- Social and Sexual Network Program by analyzing and tracking data, making recommendations for service delivery improvement and ensuring grant deliverables are met; * Supports, develops and coordinates HIV Testing Services - Social and Sexual Network Program in the greater Long Beach area; * Provides HIV testing and counseling on the Mobile Testing Unit, in the clinic, and at various locations in the greater Long Beach area; * Provides a continuum of care and support services that promote optimal health, decreases STI/HIV transmission, eliminates health care disparities, and ensures consumer empowerment and self-determination; * Acts as a recruiter/enlistment agent to engage, train, and recruit HIV-positive and high-risk HIV negative persons to identify and refer clients to HIV testing and counseling services; * Develops intervention and prevention materials for client use, community engagement, and presentations; * Attends community advisory board meetings and other planning group meetings to ensure integration of services with other local providers and agencies; * Provides STI/HIV/PrEP/PEP education, counseling, and training to potential clients, to providers, and coordinates Social and Sexual Network services internally and with community-based organizations; * Manages all aspects of tracking and reporting data, including submission of monthly and annual reporting; * Maintains client data, program files, and reports for grant program; and, * Performs other related duties as required. REQUIREMENTS TO FILE * Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Science, Community Health, or closely related field (proof required*).Professional experience offering specific and substantial preparation for the duties of the position beyond the minimum requirement outlined below may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis. AND * One year of professional experience working with diverse populations and populations at risks of HIV infection. (Master's or professional-level degrees in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field may be substituted for up to one year of required experience (proof required*)). AND * A valid motor vehicle operator's license. Acurrent DMV driving record must be submitted to the hiring department at time of selection.Selected candidate will be required to obtain a California motor vehicle operator license within six months of employment, if license is out of state. * Required documents, such as transcripts, degrees and/or certification, must be uploaded to the online application at time of filing.
