Test Pilot, Rotor- Ft Irwin, CA

Ft Irwin, CA UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot.

Helicopter Maintenance Test Pilot with experience in UH-60 model aircraft. Responsible to the Chief Pilot for the oversight of assigned aircraft, associated flight operation and crews assigned to ensure operations are conducted and in compliance with company procedures, product specifications and federal regulations. Performs maintenance operational checks (MOC), limited maintenance test flights, and general maintenance test flights of aircraft to ensure airworthiness upon completion of extensive disassembly for maintenance, repair, replacement or modification of components or aircraft systems. Skilled in performing general test flights or limited test flight when grounded or when ground diagnostics tests cannot determine the safe and or proper functioning of aircraft components or systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a current Class II flight physical.

  • Must have at least 1000 Pilot-In-Command (PC) hours.

  • Must be qualified in UH-60 and graduate of the US Army Aircraft Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase II (MTP QC).

  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

VIEW JOBS 4/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-02T00:00 Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World Aircraft Quality Control Inspector-Mechanic II- Day Shift- Ft Irwin Job Description Aircraft Inspectors: (commonly called Technical Inspector) The Contractor shall ensure aircraft inspectors hold a valid (current) FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) or minimum three years experience as an aviation inspector and a minimum of one year experience on the Mission Design Series (MDS) airframe they will be inspecting. Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. * Inspects and verifies proper completion of documentation of Safety of Flight discrepancies• Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to perform functional check flights. * Performs audits and inspections of work center and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. * Examines parts and components for conformance to design specification to determine serviceability; serviceable, unserviceable-repairable, unserviceable-non repairable, affixing appropriate form/tag for disposition; return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-in. * Reviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes, recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate action. * Monitors timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and/or technical library. * Manages the technical improvement program and reviews engineering investigative requests. * Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. * Documents and review aircraft weight and balance date to ensure accuracy and provide oversight during actual aircraft weighing procedures.
