Test Manufacturing Technician

ON Semiconductor is a leading CMOS imaging company with demonstrated market and technology leadership. ON Semiconductor's Image Sensor Group is looking for a Test Manufacturing Technician who will be responsible for engineering support and product runs.

The Test Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for ensuring product is run in a timely manner for engineering support. This function includes product changeovers, and support of Equipment Interfaces that are used in the course of Manufacturing. Responsibilities will include collaborative work with Test Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to meet internal customer support requirements. This position will require shift work.


  • Collaborate with Engineering and Technical teams to support product runs

  • Support product changeovers to support Engineering requirements

  • Develop and maintain documentation associated with equipment changeovers

  • Work with Engineering, Technical, and Production teams to ensure cross-functional support

  • Follow and improve processes to deliver timely results

  • Identify and deliver process, cost, capability, or technical performance improvements

  • Develop and deliver training for internal teams as appropriate


  • AA, AS or equivalent industry related experience in Manufacturing support

  • Experience with use of Test Handlers is a plus

  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills

  • Effective at presenting and conveying information at appropriate level for audience

  • Preferred experience in high volume manufacturing environment

VIEW JOBS 10/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-07T00:00 Job Summary: A Manufacturing Process Technician with ON Semiconductor in Nampa works on a shift team to support manufacture of Image Sensors. The primary responsibility of the Fab Process Technician is to sustain color filter array (CFA) processes, including photolithography, metrology, and real-time defect analysis (RDA). Responsibilities: * Interacting with the production team to react to manufacturing priorities throughout the shift * Develop a basic understanding of how the CFA process is performed utilizing the work instructions, procedures, and methods in practice * Acquire basic knowledge of area processes and work with engineering to ensure the quality of the material and proper documentation * Learn statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to be able to monitor area process control charts and react to out of control/specification (OOC/OOS) conditions * Develop skills to create metrology equipment recipes that are used to measure in-line parameters required for process control of CFA processing. * Acquire the ability to use software programs to evaluate in-line measurements and process results that are used to control process parameters that may result in intervention during the CFA manufacturing process * Work with the process and equipment owners on action plans for area specific issues, including data collection and tool maintenance (PM)/repair. * Ensure a thorough written and verbal pass down of shift activities, tool issues, process issues, and project status * Keep lead engineer/production supervisor advised of area issues and progress * Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety policies and guidelines Qualifications: * Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience * Ability to perform duties in a clean room environment * Willingness to work a 12-hour shift, that can include weekends, nights, and holidays (rotate between night-shift and day-shift every 4 months) * Willingness to work overtime as needed * Ability to work well both independently and on a team * Ability to follow written or verbal work instructions * Solid data summary and analytical skills * Strong approach for troubleshooting * Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills * Innovative and self-motivated attitude * Understanding of CFA processing and SPC is a plus ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ON) is driving energy efficient innovations, empowering customers to reduce global energy use.
