The ideal candidate has prior U.S. Army military experience as a multifunctional logistics planner and manager at the Battalion and Brigade level. The ideal candidate already possesses an active security clearance. The ideal candidate has experience planning, determining, coordinating, and evaluating logistic status / readiness of test site sustainment requirements and taking corrective action for existing or unforeseen problems, and possesses a strong grasp of military operations and U.S. Army supply chain, maintenance, and transportation logistics processes. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating and coordinating with multi-agency representatives and staffs of DoD agencies.
This position is based out of the Fort Carson / Colorado Springs area, but reports to the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC, previously TARDEC) in Warren, MI. This position provides test logistics support for the testing of prototype vehicle systems. The support includes testing near Colorado Springs, Fort Carson, Camp Red Devil, and Range 143, with occasional travel to Warren, MI.
Identify, plan, coordinate and execute all support for test site activities to include but not limited to: Torch Party/ADVON, Reception, Staging, Onward movement - Integration (RSO-I), preparation and recovery activities
Identify, plan, coordinate and execute the security, movement and storage of all test assets/equipment.
Communicate program requirements to host Army unit/agencies
Provide initial Concept of Support and amend as needed for changes at the test site
Coordinate and track contacted shipment of test assets and vehicles
Coordinate and execute at supporting test site with Army unit/agencies and local contacted support
Coordinate and support movement operations at test site
Provide Class IX maintenance support options/guidance
Manage and report on test site inventory management
Provide logistics guidance to Unit/Host location support agreements
Interface with test site logistics support agencies, supporting unit and local service vendors for contracted life support activities
Provide logistics considerations for the program Concept of Operation (CONOP), Deliberate Risk Assessment Worksheet (DRAW), Communication Plan, Resources/Logistics Plan and Safety/Security Plan.
Status the usage of test assets/resources (vehicles, fuel use and mileages).
The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and be able to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance.
